You have Rock River Arms at the bottom of the list. I own four of their LAR-15 models and they are all tack drivers. I also own a few Colt 6920's and a Bushmaster XM15-E2S . I actually like the fact the RRA's come with Heavy Barrels. I had to buy Colt HBAR uppers to add to the 6920's. One of the RRA LAR-15's has fired many thousands of rounds and I have never had a single issue with it.
You get screaming fast projectiles, with decent wound channels and excellent accuracy. Like – too much accuracy for the ranges listed above. In fact, you are probably good to go with a 6.5 Grendel further out than 650 yards, easily, which is much further than most people would be hunting with an AR anyway. A 6.5 Grendel remains supersonic past 1200 yards. You can’t even expect to be hunting with most ARs at 1200 yards.

It has to do with the definition that pistols are supposed to be shot with a single hand. Now arguably you can use your off hand as well but there should only be one place to grip the gun. Its dumb and it doesn't make sense but that is the reasoning. I've seen a lot of uncorrect comments here and hope I can help keep someone from getting in trouble.
With so many different accessories like handguards, grips, triggers, and sights, you can customize your AR to whatever you want it to be. Like the 450 Bushmaster, performing a 458 SOCOM conversion requires a new bolt, barrel, and single-stack magazine follower. The bottle-neck design of the 458 SOCOM lends itself to more reliable feeding and higher case capacity than straight-walled cartridge designs of similar size. The 458 SOCOM is another thumper round that makes an excellent hog hunting cartridge thanks to its ridiculously high muzzle energy and fast follow-up shot capability. If you want to go deer hunting in North America and plan to use an AR-15, you cannot beat the stopping power, range, and bullet selection of the 450 Bushmaster. Developed in the 1950’s to replace the aging Springfield, the 308 Winchester has been the go-to round for designated marksmen, snipers, and machine gunners since its release.

Handguns are less potent than a shotgun or rifle, which makes them the best for home defense in this situation. Searching for the best rifles for home defense? Sorting through reviews will take days, given the sheer number of options.
How exactly do you define the best cartridge for home defense? There are two major elements to keep in mind. First and foremost, it's obvious that you want your ammo to be accurate when you're using it for home defense. Beyond that, you also want ammo that is sure to penetrate your target — but without passing through and putting someone else in harm's way. It's a constant debate among AR-15 shooters.

You’re good to go for that deer on the next ridge with the right load and variables, and you can expect to get your shot right on target. You can make it yours with a few basic changes and usually without any tools, provided you swap a fully integrated upper receiver kit onto the top of a complete lower receiver. This true .30 caliber AR cartridge fires its 120gr bullets at close to 2200fps from a rifle barrel. While this sounds ideal, it’s really not. Indeed, the .458 SOCOM is an excellent caliber to use as defense against dangerous big game. However, it also has limited magazine capacity (ten rounds will fit in a standard thirty round 5.56 magazine, as noted) and the ammunition can be pricey and sometimes hard to find.
A 55 gr .223 has a max charge of 26 grains of ramshot TAC. Grendel Mags are not banana shaped like AK Mags. The company who created 6.5 Grendel, Alexander Arms, sells GI style steel mags that outwardly look identical to any other 5.56 GI mag. The Grendel was originally based on the 7.62×39, but it does not have the same taper as this round. The answer to this question will get you closer to choosing the right cartridge upgrade for your AR-15.
If you conduct a little research you will find that numerous law enforcement departments, to include the FBI, have proven this to be false in most cases. The shotgun is also extremely deficient in magazine capacity. Even in 10-round-maximum states, in which long-gun rights have been destroyed, you have more firepower than with most shotguns. Even if they are in the open and you have a clear line of sight you get shakey with adrenaline pumping. There’s many other scenarios that could happen that I think about.
A clip is designed as a device to hold ammo together to be ready to load into a magazine or cylinder of a firearm. … A magazine feeds rounds into the chamber, and a clip feeds rounds into a magazine. Find a firearm that’s comfortable to handle and carry. This is a fantastic choice for people who have not been around firearms much. When in a critical situation that involves pulling out a weapon, the bullet’s speed is not on my mind.
However, the rounds do offer better ballistic coefficients than the 7.62x39m round does, assuming that you shoot the rounds out of similarly lengthened barrels. We saved the biggest for last, as the 50 Beowulf fires the heaviest and widest projectiles in our top 13 best AR cartridges list. In a self-defense situation, the 458 SOCOM would make an excellent choice.
The AR is unbelievably versatile, from contact shooting distances out to 300 yds., the carbine will outperform the pistol. Shooting as a likely home-defense scenario, and, in many areas, it wouldn’t be. The rub comes when folks tell me that mine is a poor choice and cite reasons that cannot be supported by fact. I do not know why 22 mag is not a considered caliber. You need to check the ballistics on that caliber.
